I hate to reduce my rating, but our most recent experience at Nosh was not up to par with our other visits. We arrived fifteen minutes before our reservation time, expecting that we would have to wait a bit. The host told us to either sit in the waiting area or take a seat at the bar. I told her that we would grab cocktails at the bar and that is what we did. Fifteen minutes after our scheduled time, I noticed that others were being seated and went back to check on our table. The host was telling her colleague that she didn't remember what "she" (very clearly, me) looked like to find us for our table. The bar area is not that big and it felt like they didn't really try. The other host brought us to our table and it had not yet been cleaned off. She apologized and said it was "embarrassing" and yes it was. It took 10 more minutes to see our server and longer for waters. My fiancee says she introduced herself to us, but I definitely didn't catch it. As someone who works in the service industry, the marker of poor service is an empty water glass and ours absolutely did not remain filled. Nor were we asked if we wanted another drink (which we would have and I finally did say something about). When my fiancee dropped her fork, it was five minutes until we found someone to ask and our server was nowhere to be found. The redeeming part is the food itself. Their fall menu is fantastic, as usual, and trying to decide what to order is not easy. We definitely didn't need an appetizer, but the belly ache ($22) sounded so good that I couldn't resist and I'm glad we got it. The flavors with the pork belly were absolutely worth it. For entrees, my fiancee had the Hokey Gnocchi ($28, I think), the whole reason we had to come in. She said it was better than the wild boar ragu, but I still think that's one of the best things I've ever eaten. I had the Lamb Jam ($60), which is a lot for an entree, but definitely shareable. It's something you could get somewhere else, but the flavors, details (housemade pita!), and amount (our server said it's close to a pound of lamb) do make it a solid dish. I was excited about the flavors in the Oaxacan Man cocktail and it was good, but ultimately tasted like an old fashioned. My fiancee wanted the Peariwinkle, but they were out so she had the You're Killin Me Smalls from the after-dinner menu. It was sweet and good, featuring flambed marshmallow creme on top. We finished off sharing a Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em, which we both enjoyed. Finally, I appreciated that our server was honest about the chocolate s'mores pie. I am a sucker for s'mores, but she was honest with us that the meringue on top doesn't have enough vanilla/marshmallow flavor to satisfy the s'mores vibe, especially with the contrast of the marshmallow creme on the cocktail. Overall, we will be back when the menu changes again in the future if there is a dish that intrigues us, but we will likely look at other places first.

Beeshaun was a great server and did everything that we needed. I ordered the lobster empanadas and husband ordered the prime pizza. The food took a bit, but Beeshaun kept checking on us. The food was absolutely delicious. I would've given the restaurant a five star, but it was so noisy. We elected to stay, but husband said that if we lived here, he probably would not come back because of the noise. As some of the groups left, it was less noisy. I love the decor, our server was wonderful. The food was wonderful... I was surprised it was so packed for Wednesday night. It is definitely a hopping place and it looks like everybody's having a great time. Just be aware of the noise because I know I have several friends that could not have stayed there.

Visiting Rochester and tried this place. Nice ambiance, very casual industrial chis The servers were very nice and personable. Drinks were good The Korean Sitdown was in our opinion overpriced. The chicken was the best meat on the plate. Pork was a let down. The soy glazed tofu and the lobster pizza were tasty and would recommend For entree we had the Korean chicken and waffles which were a bit over cooked. The vegetarian green curry was saltier than I'd have liked but portion size was good. Overall food was average, nothing to ride home about. The experience was overall positive for a casual dinner with friends.

Dining at Nosh for my wife's birthday was a pleasurable experience. The brick building had a cozy feel with a beautifully lit bar that created a fun and welcoming presence. The server was a very nice gentleman, he checked up on us as needed and was even attentive to come and fill our waters in a discrete way that allowed my wife and I to carry on with our conversation. The food was excellent, the menu was simple and had just the right amount of items to pick from. My wife and I ordered the Lobster pizza and the Thai chili Wings. The pizza was well cooked as well as had a great portion of lobster on every slice, showed the cooks attention to detail. The wings were my favorite! They came with a tangy garlic aioli sauce that paired well with the spicy wings. All in all, for a pizza, wings, and a cocktail that my wife adored, it came out to 54 dollars. For a higher end feel this price it great for two people to go out. I would highly recommend this place for friends or a nice date.

Amazing dinner spot with ample choices and impeccable service. Busy on a Tuesday. Great ambiance! We ate(party of 2) at the bar which has full service. Great recommendations by the bartender. I got the pork chop and buddy got the chicken pollo loco. Pork chop was perfectly cooked with a pink center. Puree was excellent and had roasted Brussels. Pollo loco had some spice that was well balanced with the sauce. Plenty of drink choices but didn't partake. A must go if in the area.

Nosh is still my favorite Rochester restaurant! They have a new owner and chef but many of the classic dishes (like the Ahi Noshos) are still on the menu. Tonight I had the Holy Cannelloni pasta with pork and it was amazing. Very rich flavor but not too heavy. I also tried the Hot Buns (pork belly bao with bulgogi sauce and Asian slaw) and the pork belly was perfect. Crispy on the outside, melt in your mouth goodness on the inside, and the slaw makes a nice textural difference to the soft bao bun. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was outstanding.

Took our good friends from LA visiting here and NOSH didn't disappoint. As a group we shared some various plates such as the Korean sampler with steam buns, ahi tuna nachos, and a few flat bread pizzas - the mushroom was my favorite. Nosh has a unique selection of cocktails everyone seemed to enjoy. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Our group raved about the food saying how good everything was! If your looking for a restaurant to take friends out that are visiting from out of town - make your reservation at least a few weeks in advance online for NOSH! Everything was top notch from the service, ambiance, to the food, and cocktails.
